Fallstudie 3
Corona-Zahlen bei Migranten
This analysis shows that the way actors are mentioned is an important aspect in identifying disinformation. If there is no standard mentioning of names associated with positions, or if there is no mentioning of specific actors at all (but rather "they" or "we"), these are important indicators of a fake news element. Failure to check whether there is information to support a claim and the use of imprecise adjectives (such as "large", "high number") are also indicators. High corona infection rates have nothing to do with people's origin or religion, but rather with their socio-economic situation. This is independent of migration background: poverty does not depend on nationality.
