The centres that participate in the CoMMiTTEd Project kindly ask you to take a few minutes to carefully read this Privacy Policy, which has been written in a clear and simple way to facilitate its understanding and to allow you to freely and voluntarily determine if you wish to provide us with your personal data, and to understand your rights regarding the privacy of your data.

Who is responsible for the processing of your data?

Your data will be processed by the centres that participate in the CoMMiTTEd Project (“Covid, Migrants and Minorities in Teacher Education: A Fake News Observatory to promote Critical Thinking and Digital Literacy in Times of Crisis”), which are listed below:

Confidentiality and Security.

The centres that participate in the CoMMiTTEd Project will handle the personal data obtained in the framework of the project confidentially, keeping the mandatory duty of secrecy with respect to them, adopting the necessary technical and organizational measures to guarantee, as far as possible, the security of these data, avoiding their alteration, loss, treatment or any unauthorized access, taking into account the state of technology, the nature of the data processed and the risks to which they are exposed.

Basic information.

In each personal data collection form of the CoMMiTTEd Project, or document where you are informed of some type of personal data processing, you will find basic information about:

− The Purpose (why are your personal data being collected or handled).
− The Period during which said personal data will be kept or, when it is not possible to indicate this exactly, the criteria used to determine it.
− The Legitimation or legal basis that allows this data to be processed, which shall be one of those allowed by current legislation (see LINK).
− The Recipients, if any, that is, entities other than the centres that participate in the CoMMiTTEd Project to whom the personal data that you have provided or some part of them may be communicated or transferred to carry out their own processing.
− The enumeration of your Rights and the way to exercise them (see below the section “Your rights”).
In whatever case, the following information will always be included:

− Where your data were obtained, and what those data are, if they do not come from you yourself.
− If profiles are going to be made (automated treatments to evaluate personal aspects or predict your professional performance, personal preferences, interests, behaviour, etc.), or if automated decisions that could affect you are going to be made.
− If for any reason it is envisaged that some entity will transfer your data to countries that do not belong to the European Economic Area and for which the Data Protection Authorities of the European Union have not declared the existence of an adequate level of protection of personal data.
We recommend that, before filling in any type of form, in electronic or paper format, you should carefully read the content of the data protection information that appears on the form itself, as well as that on this page.
The data requested in the forms are, in general, necessary (unless otherwise specified) to fulfil the purposes established for the treatment. Therefore, if you do not provide them or they are incorrect, it will not be possible to fulfil these purposes, without prejudice to the fact that, in the case of web forms, you can continue to freely visit the content of the site.

Responsibility of the Interested Party.

When you provide your personal data to the centres that participate in the CoMMiTTEd Project, the Interested Party (natural person who owns the personal data):

− Declares that he or she is older than 16 years.
− Guarantees that the data provided to the centres participating in the CoMMiTTEd Project are true, accurate, complete and up-to-date. For these purposes, the Interested Party is responsible for the veracity of all the data that he or she communicates and shall keep the information suitably updated, in such a way that it reflects the current situation.
− Shall be responsible for any false or inaccurate information provided and for the damages, direct or indirect, that this causes to the centres that participate in the CoMMiTTEd Project or to third parties.
− In the event that data are provided about other people, guarantees that they have been previously informed of the aspects contained in this Privacy Policy, and that their authorization has been obtained to provide their data to the centres that participate in the CoMMiTTEd Project for the purposes of the specific actions in question.

The centres that participate in the CoMMiTTEd Project may carry out verifications to verify and collate the information provided by the User, adopting the corresponding due diligence measures, in accordance with data protection regulations.

Your rights

You have the right to:

− Obtain confirmation as to whether the centres participating in the CoMMiTTEd Project are treating personal data that concerns you or not, and if so, to know what data they have, what they are used for and where they have been obtained (right of ACCESS).
− Request the RECTIFICATION of those data that are inaccurate or incomplete. Depending on the case, you must provide the necessary documentation to prove the change you are requesting.
− Request the DELETION of your data when legally possible, in particular when they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected.
− Request, should the law allow it, the LIMITATION of the processing of your data, that is, that they should be marked in the computer systems to prevent their treatment, either temporarily or permanently.
− In certain circumstances and for reasons related to your particular situation, exercise your right of OPPOSITION to the processing of your data. The centres that participate in the CoMMiTTEd Project will stop handling your data, except in the case of compelling legitimate reasons or the exercise or defence of possible claims.
− In the circumstances in which it is applicable, request the PORTABILITY of your data.
− When your data was obtained for a specific purpose by your CONSENT, you may withdraw it at the time you wish, without affecting the legitimacy of the processing already carried out.

You can exercise your rights through the email address committed@unav.es, indicating the situation in which the processing of your data has taken place, the right you wish to exercise and any information or documentation that you consider relevant. Additional information may be requested in order to identify you.

Conservation periods

The personal data of the users will be kept only for the time necessary to carry out the purposes for which they were collected, which will be reported in each form or data collection and processing method. In certain cases, your data will be saved as long as you do not revoke the consents granted. Subsequently, if necessary, the person responsible will keep the information under embargo for the legally established periods.

Modifications to this Privacy Policy

The centres that participate in the CoMMiTTEd Project may modify this Privacy Policy when they deem it appropriate. Any modifications shall be communicated through this same Webpage or by other means, in order to inform all interested parties. By continuing to make use of the affordances, products and services made available to you by the centres that participate in the CoMMiTTEd Project, you are assumed to agree to them, except in cases where your express consent is necessary.
